South Pacific Salt is establishing in Stoke.  Initially it will focus on packaging and exporting salt to the Chinese market.  Within a year the company intends to create a range of salt products for the export market.

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to take responsibility for the production processes.  This pivotal role reports to the Executive Director who is based off-shore.  Initially, you will assist with the set-up and pre-production, and recruit and train a small team.  Once up and running, you will oversee production scheduling, monitor production processes, manage a small team and ensure the maintenance and safety of equipment and machinery.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a food production management role.  You will have managed and built a competent and collaborative team and have had responsibility for production performance and operational efficiency.  Start-up or new factory build experience would be ideal.  You will have a sound understanding of HACCP, quality and safety systems and strong computer skills.  You will be well organised, have good problem solving skills, be reliable and unflappable.
