FSL Foods is a progressive Nelson based family company based in Tahuna.  The company sources, manufactures, distributes, and sells a range of foods under the Fruzio, Goodness Kitchen, Mission Foods, and Rio Dolores brands. Products include frozen fruit, fruit sauces, juices, flour wraps, sauces and salsas for a wide range of manufacturing, wholesale and retail clients. There are significant opportunities for further development and diversity augmenting the importance of this role.

We are seeking a Factory Manager who will report to the General Manager and take responsibility for all processing, packaging and stores activities and manage a small team of eight.  Specifically you will prepare production schedules, coordinate and roster staff and ensure they have the skills and training to perform their roles well, ensure quality control and food safety systems are in place and rigorously applied, maintain the preventative maintenance schedule and ensure back up of critical parts, manage the internal stock control process using Net Suite, oversee H&S requirements and drive efficiencies.

Our ideal candidate will have been in a similar supervisory/management role preferably within food production. You will have:

• managed a small team
• implemented quality and maintenance systems
• demonstrated attention to detail
• pride in the quality and consistency of what you and your team produce
• the computer skills to support production
• sound basic machinery maintenance skills
