Are you ready to put your governance experience and leadership skills to good use for your community?
NTHT, a registered charitable trust, works closely with government, local councils and community agencies to improve access to good quality, affordable housing for people of lower incomes. NTHT currently owns and manages 43 rental properties in Nelson and Tasman and has further development underway. It has current assets at $15m and turnover of $1m. In addition, NTHT provides housing advice, monitors housing needs and administers the Warmer Healthier Homes insulation scheme.
The Trust has a strong and established Board with a good range of skills to support the functions of the Trust and is seeking a replacement Chair to enhance the governance team and provide leadership.
Our ideal person will have previous chair experience, have a strategic focus and be able to work collaboratively and provide support and counsel to the MD. Some knowledge or experience in any of the following areas – housing, community, commercial, financial, local and central government – would be useful. You will also be comfortable interacting with wider stakeholders building relationships, networking and influencing housing outcomes.
The Trust meets monthly and we envisage the commitment required is 15 hours a month.
This really is a wonderful opportunity to put your governance skills to good use in an organisation having a significant impact in our region.
